CQMH Abdul Hamid was born on 01 Jul 1933 to SakinaBegum and Mohmammad Usman. He joined Grenadiers Regt of the IndianArmyon27 Dec 1954. He was later onwasposted to the regiment’s 4 Battalion where he served for the rest of his career, and was awarded posthumously Param Vir Chakra. He destroyed Seven enemy tanks and laid his life while fighting with enemy.
